Paint Series - Paint (linky) Party!

THIS POST IS FROM ROOM REMIX - THE BLOG .

Happy Friday, everybody!

I have to admit this is freaking me out just a little bit.  A post with NO images. Yikes. I'm dealing with it though. I just figured you all were going to be linking up your awesome projects, so I wanted those to be the focus.

Are you ready to (paint) party? I'm excited to see what you've been working on, so let's get this party started! As I said, this is a paint party so link up any of your paint projects (doesn't necessarily have to be walls - just whatever you're painting) and tell us what paint color/brand you used. If you have some helpful painting tips you would like to share, that would be great too!

I'll keep the party open until Sunday night at midnight, and I'll be highlighting some of my favorite links from the party next week.

Please link directly to your post, not your blog, and link back to this party so that everyone else can enjoy the projects too.

Here we go... :-)

Paint Series - What color would you like to try?

THIS POST IS FROM ROOM REMIX - THE BLOG .

So today is sort of just for fun! As you can see in the previous posts in this series, the colors that get used in the majority of homes are pretty tried and true - not too out of the box. This totally makes sense, but I was curious as to what paint color the designers would choose if they could pick any one that they wanted.

Just an FYI on the images. Since these are colors that the designers would like to try but haven't yet, they obviously don't have rooms in their portfolio. They provided me with the color they liked and I tried to find rooms in the actual color or that at least looked like they could be. Hopefully they're not too far off base... :-)

QUESTION:
What is one paint color that you’ve never tried, but really would love to (either in your home or someone else’s)?

{ Janell - Isabella and Max Rooms... }

Sherwin Williams Begonia, hands down! The color says it all. This color would be great fun in a powder bath, an entry or in a very happy guest bedroom.

529 Sweet Daphne, it's a wonderful green that I've never seen up because it's in the US deck. The Canadian BM deck needs a healthier does of fresh greens.

Image - Elle Decor Benjamin Moore Paint Swatch

PK:The above room from Elle Decor is actually painted in Daphne Green.  The swatch beside is the swatch from the Benjamin Moore website, so this is a perfect example of how you really need to test colors in real life and can't rely on computer images..  Gives you an IDEA, but definitely not like it is in real life.

I wanted to include the image below because I just like the room better and the color is similar!

I have never used a teal...a peacock teal but every time I see a wall done in that color with some great art I am drawn to it.

Would love to try Benjamin Moore’s Newburg Green

{ Emily - Emily A. Clark... }

I’ve seen some really gorgeous black rooms floating around different blogs and magazines. It’s definitely daring, but not necessarily overwhelming if you pair it with the right pieces and accessories.

So I'll ask you, too. If you didn't have any restrictions, what color would you just love to try?

Tomorrow we're going to party and I would love to have you join! I'll have the paint linky party up in the morning. Link up and show off your paint projects, paint colors and any tips you might have. The party will be open through the weekend and I'll highlight my favorites next week!
