Most modern home design always use L shaped room as it can serves multiple purposes where they usually combine living room with dining room. Some of you might remember that L Shaped Room has rectangular space. Placing furniture in L shaped floor plan is important as you can’t just place it here and there. So here are how you can place your furniture in an L-Shaped room:
Focal Point – It’s best to place the seating, sofa or loveseat at the front of focal point like fireplace, window, TV, art wall and etc.
Angle Option or Linear – You can always place the dining room table to run at an angle or leave it centered parallel along the wall, it’s best that you always opted for minimalist furniture when your space is at premium.
Don’t Block Ways – make sure you don’t block any way or doorways or passage ways. Make sure the conversation areas don’t block or cut the room through the middle as it will be not pleasant when people passing by.
Lighting – make sure you use a good lighting and adjust your lighting size according to the size of the room. Try to use less ornamental lighting as it will make it even more spacious.
